Devin Oliver is currently a 1L ChangeLawyer at Berkeley Law. Devin is tackling the crisis of climate change, after witnessing the devastation of natural disaster in Texas as an urban planner and community organizer. As a climate justice advocate, Devin will transform climate change—a multiplier of inequality—into an engine for racial, economic, and environmental equity and truly sustainable communities. While in law school, Devin will mentor fellow first-generation and queer-of-color students and serve transgender youth through the Gender and Name Change Workshop. After law school, Devin will work in government to more equitably distribute clean energy, land, and housing through community land trusts, community solar, and housing cooperatives. Devin holds a BA in Geography from the Ohio State University and master’s degrees in Urban Planning and Latin American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
