Born in San Jose, CA, Iris Chiu is a ChangeLawyer from Santa Clara University School of Law where she held various roles and titles including: Co-Director of the Bay Area Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (BAAPALSA) Conference, Co-President of APALSA, Comments Editor on the Journal of International Law, and part of the Problem Committee for Honors Moot Court Internal. With a particular interest in labor and employment law, she wants to become a leader of the legal community and advocate for those who have faced gender and or racial adversity. To continue her passion of breaking discriminatory barriers, she ultimately aspires to become a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office and join their complex litigation team, who are the forefront of challenging the legality of the Trump Administration’s actions, such as Trump’s sanctuary executive order.
