Born in South Korea, Sally Kim moved to Sacramento at the age of six where she grew up helping her parents manage the family's restaurant. Her parents experienced financial hardships that prevented them from receiving the health care they needed. Seeing their struggles motivated her to learn about health law and policy, which inspired her to minor in Public Health at UCLA and pursue an undergraduate health law internship at Legal Services of Northern California. Sally plans to work towards building healthy and equitable communities through her legal work and advocate for quality health care access for all. She graduated from UCLA Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science, where she was a member of the UCLA Law Fellows program. After graduating, she was a Litigation Case Assistant at Irell & Manella LLP. She is a proud double Bruin and ChangeLawyer, as she starts her 1L at the UCLA School of Law.
